I am writing to you to let you know that the Second Year and Third Year Classroom Based Assessment (CBA) Calendars have been published. This calendar is available below and a copy has been issued to all students digitally and hard copies have been put up around the school.
CBAs provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding and skills of the curriculum in a way that differs from a formal examination. The CBAs will take place during class time within the time allocated for each subject. This information can be found on the calendar attached.
CBAs will be reported on in the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) using the following descriptors: Exceptional, Above Expectations, In Line With Expectations & Yet to Meet Expectations.
